Ralph E. Evans III, President
Ralph E. Evans III majored in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin, and is a founding partner of Evans Associates. He is manager of New Business Development, and specializes in unique and creative solutions to local and wide area networking problems. He designed and supervised the implementation of the first federally-funded wide area educational video network in the country, and provided needs assessment and acquisition services for the first regional consortium to employ OC-3 level access for distance education. He has assisted in the formulation of regulatory guidelines and administrative law for numerous industries employing new technologies, at both the local and the federal level. Ralph is an expert in consensus building for large-scale technology projects. He conducted the feasibility study and system design for the country's first multi-station community digital television tower and production facility. He has implemented both complex local-area networks and extensive wide-area networks for the distribution and management of applications requiring video, data and voice connectivity. Ralph is a frequent lecturer at broadcasting and telecommunications seminars. Frequently requested topics for his talks include "Using Telecommunications in Business" and "The Future of the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Industries."
